Artlink is an innovative arts and health charity specialising in working with those who have the least access to the arts. They work with adults with learning disabilities, adults living with dementia, adults with long term mental health issues, women who are part of the criminal justice system and young people. Since 2012, Artlink has been funded through Art Council’s National Portfolio.
I’ve been working with Artlink West Yorkshire since 2018. As an artist on their Moving On project, I have been collaborating with movement artist Kim Glassby to deliver a range of creative projects for a group of adults with learning disabilities at a Wetherby day centre. Working together we danced, created shapes with our bodies, learned to weave and got messy with paint.
