In summer 2013 I began working on 365 Leeds Stories, a collaborative project led by storytellers Matthew Bellwood and Alison Andrews. Over a series of four workshops, women from across Leeds came together to embroider maps telling the stories of residents from Tranquillity Court, a residential care home in Crossgates, Leeds.
In spring 2014 these maps came together to form an installation in a specially designed labyrinth. Alongside the maps, a series of embroidered handkerchiefs featuring quotes from regulars of Stainbeck Lunch Club. Each piece telling stories of the past through the eyes of Leeds residents.
