I offer a range of textile workshops from a beginners class in hand embroidery to more advanced classes for people with some experience who would like to try something new. I can accommodate groups of up to four people in my Scarborough studio and workshops for larger groups at your regular venue.

Workshop costs vary but start at £25 per person for a two hour workshop. If you would like to discuss a workshop you can get in touch here. All materials and equipment including an embroidery hoop are included in my workshop prices.

Introduction to hand embroidery where you will learn about the basics of hand embroidery from tools and equipment to a range of hand embroidery stitches.

Embroidery and applique where you will learn the basics of fusible web applique and some decorative hand embroidery stitches.

Hand stitched portraits where you will learn how to trace a portrait from a photograph and stitch it using a range of hand embroidery stitches and add a splash of colour with different fabrics.

Conductive thread embroidery where you will learn some decorative embroidery stitches and then illuminate your design with a stitched circuit to light up an LED.

Hand stitched houseplants where you will learn how to use decorative hand embroidery stitches to create your own stitched houseplants design.

Stitchscapes where you will learn how to use different fabrics and embroidery stitches to create a stitched landscape.

Christmas workshops where you can create hand embroidered mini wreaths, patchwork hexie wreaths and LED decorations. Each workshop uses traditional craft techniques to create a unique Christmas gift.
